If you talking about running a stock cam. You be better off running a LS6 cam. I knew of a guy that swapped a stock LS1 cam into his 5.3. I just shook my head cause I am pretty sure they used the same cam in the 5.7 ls1 and the 5.3. But yea do the LS6 cam.

 

well thanks for the info, I figured the guy was an idiot when he told me this, but I've been thinkin about gettin the longtube headers for a while, prob not gonna do a cam just figured I'd ask about it, and possibly 3.73 gears in the differentials if I feel like spendin the money

if i remember right the 6.0 cam is the same as a stock ls1 cam, not worth it....get an aftermarket cam as stated above
