6.0 build questions

Default 6.0 build questions

i just blew my 5.3 up that was magnacharged think i broke a ring. i want to build an all motor 6.0. i just need some help with picking the right bottom end. i wanna open it up to a 402. its in an off road truck so it needs to be really strong and love rpm for long distance. it will be carburetor i wanna have around 400 hp. thats what the truck has now to the wheels and i think its perfect. any help would be wonderful.

If you can build your own stuff then start off by the bottom end. Forged crank, pistons, rods, etc.

IMHO you don't need forged internals in an N/A application unless you plan to use spray or FI in the future. If 400 HP is all your looking for it should be no problem with a 402. A good cam and Bolton's and your there.

No I need a fully built motor from the ground up. This is the 3rd motor I've gone through in the last year and just need somthing strong. Truck is on 37 and sees a lot of abuse and stress. I just need some information and what people have used and had luck with. Everything you read says there's stuff is the best.
