I DD a 227/235 cam with a 3600 stall Torque converter. If the tuning is spot on it wont be bad.

LS2 has 400hp @ crank. Stick it in.

deffinatly would put a 28-3000 stall in it man. like the guy above said, your just leaving so much on the table if you dont.
