I was told the 408 would be a better choice. Eagle makes complete stroker kits right. also, do the bores have to have a tapere to them because of the fact that they are going to have forged pistons.

IMO a 408 is a better choice because of the "square" I mentioned above.

Will a 408 pass the sniffer test? My car still has sniffer being a 1990. what about emissions on the newer trucks?

because it is a biuld that got messed so it is geting stroked out. i have every thing to build it to a 5.7 but the pistons had to low of comp height and the fix is a 4.125 crank so it will be 405 cid.
