Default 50 state Long Tubes

Who sells 50 state LT headers. I like the ARH with duel cats can I use them in Ca. ? Wat is a Y-pipe? why don't you just run duels? I have to get my restriction down.

Unfortunately, nobody makes 50 state (or any state legal) long tube headers. To meet current regulations, the catalytic converter has to be as close to the engine as possible, so it will "light" quickly upon startup. Most are mounted within inches, if not bolted directly to the exhaust manifolds. Your only choice is to buy a set with the converters if you are concerned about the environment, and then have your vehicle tuned to run properly and without a check engine light on.

As stated above there are no carb aproved long tubes..I run them and pass smog fine..they are coated & s/s so they hold heat in well..
-Your only other options are Bassani mid-lengths which retain your factory cats ..you have to cut and weld a small section before the cats though..TOG headers were also good and mid-length, but they are out of buisness..

Ribeiro, just curious, is the setup you mentioned in the other thread what you're running (pacesetters/ORY)?

Thanks

No, I am running Arizona speed & Marine stainless long tubes that are ceramic coated, with 2 1/2" Magnaflow spun cats..kinda wish I would have just used oem cats..which are 2 1/2" and probably work better...But it passed with a 212/216 cam

Cool, thanks.
I have heard the samething elsewhere, that hi-flow cats don't flow enough more than the stockers to justify the $$$.

Where were you able to find someone to smog it with those? Im in S.D. too and I researched for months and nobody would touch it with LTs with no CARB #. I finally gave up and registered my truck at my buddies address up in Campo.
