Most auto Firebirds/Camaros run 16.2-15.8 at our track and thats with no wheelspin. The manual cars tend to run low low 15s to 14.8 depending on driver and tires.

Are you talking about the V8 camaros and firebirds? I wouldnt think they would be that slow! Mid to high 14's maybe, but an auto tranny V8 F body running low 15s and 16s, thats bad <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="gr_sad.gif" />

I will bet that there quite a few v8 guys with auto trannys that would disagree with you.

Mine ran 15.50 at 90mph with a 2.31 60 foot time stock. Bet I could of nabbed some 15.4's if I made more than one run.

I am the president of a rather large (85 paid members) club for F-bods in Northern Cali so I am VERY familiar with what they all run in stock or modded form Hehehe.

My T/A was about as slow as they come when stock and even I pulled an avg. of 13.7s@102. (2.73 gears, auto, raceweight of 3700lbs). Any F-bod LS1 running in the 14s has either a bad driver or a broken car. LOL

Probably a 14.5 but that's just a wild guess. I would like to run my truck at Houston some time. It seems like all the trucks at the track around here are so much slower than the Houston guys. I ran a best of 14.68 and no other 5.3s are even close.

I have a sbrc 2wd. 5.3, w/3.42, and w/700 miles it ran 15.70. W/4000 miles, it ran 15.20@92 mph, and w/4.56 gears, and a HPP3 w/87 oct tuning and 8000 miles, it ran 14.59@95.6 mph, and I haven't even got a good run yet. The 14.59 run, the tract. cont kicked in a little, and didn't have a chance to play with shift points.
