Default 5.3l bottom end cam??

I have a 01tahoe.. intake catback tuned comp. pretty much it.. it needs more bottom end ..wondering who has or knows of someone that has used a certain cam that gives the most bottom end out of these engines... it has 24s on it too so that kills it..i rarely take it over 3500..so lots of TQ is needed. TIA also i ll be putting a converter in it with maybe like 25-2800 stall tops bc ill be towing too.
Thanks again

With 24" wheels you will no doubt need to change your gears, not the cam. What size tires do you have and what current gear ratio?

If you are going after low end stay with the stock stall and get an accomodating cam, if you put in a 2500+ stall you then will want a cam that starts around 2krpms it makes no sense to put in an off idle cam and a big stall

Try the comp cams 206/212-112, then 4.10s. That would solve that problem!

or maybe you could get a little bigger/more agressive cam, advance it a few degrees when you install it, and then when you get gears take the advance out of the cam...
