Ok 5.3 finally went in Tahoe so dropping in 6.0. I am going to send out my 5.3 heads 243 and have 5 angle valve job done any ideas of a good place, also looking for ideas for a cam as well. Any ideas let me know gonna start this on Monday, should I do stall conv as well? Sending trans out as well to performa built.

 

I am doing the same thing in my sierra and am by no means an expert but yes your going to want a stall. for example im running a tsp224 cam with about a 3200 stall in the 6.0 swap that im currently doing. you are also going to want to upgrade your springs and pushrods if you put a different cam in it. Also dont forget a good tune.

 

224 and 3200 stall is about as big as i would go with in a heavy tahoe. i would recommend pac 1218 springs and chrome moly pushrods. of course a good tune. a tru cool 40k tranny cooler especially with heavy tahoe. sounds like your on track so far....

 

I am def sending out my 243 heads for 5 angle valve job and getting a new cam as well as someother things, looking to send tranny to perfomabuilt as well. Wheatley will be doing my tune for me so should be pretty sick when completed.
