I'm thinking of picking up an 02 LS6 cam if I find one cheap. I'll run it in my Silverado for a while (which I'm about to put the T56 in), but long term upgrade to something bigger when I do heads. At that point I was thinking I might swap it over to my Tahoe (which is all stock...5.3, A4, but with 4.56 gear and 32" tires).

Thus my question, how would the 02 LS6 cam work with a 5.3 and the stock converter in a Tahoe with 4.56 gears and 32" tires?

It'll probably perform pretty well. The cam's not too extreme, and the tires aren't all that tall, so the 4.56s will go a long way to help the engine reach a good powerband for the cam.
