Default 5.3 + turbo 400

Are all 5.3 motors the same as far as the flexplate and length of crank is the first year 99 ok
I have the flexplate and spacer from an LQ4 do I need to use it on the 5.3

it is the same as the rest, you will need the spacer and flat flex.

Thanks I have been running a turbo 400 behind a carbed 6.0 now I'm swapping to a pretty much stock 5.3 with a turbo and keeping the 400 behind it I should just swap the flat flexplate from the 6.0 does the 5.3 already have the spacer?

I know the 99 6.0 has something different about the crank {shorter?] just checking that if I wind up with a 99 5.3 that it is not like the first year 6.0-oddball to all the others

the 5.3 crank is shorter and requires a spacer and then you can reuse your flex plate.

OK thanks one more thing how do you get the spacer off is it pressed on

The spacer just slides on and off, but if you have a 99-00 6.0, it has a longer crank and no spacer, in which case you would have to go a buy the spacer separately.
