Default 5.3 Needs some more power

Yea I have a 99 4wd with 6 inch suspension lift and a 3 inch body lift. I am running 38.5 swampers. I changed the gears to 4.11's and all I have is a K&N air intake and flowmaster true duals. As u can see i am in need of some more power. I don't really want to spend money on a supercharger right now. What mods could i get to improve overall power and torque?

Oh yeah..what kind of transmission do i have in a 99 5.3? Are there any rebuild kits for it?

bumpstick=cam
gen 3 motors (ls1,ls6, 4.8,5.3,6.0) react very well to cam swaps. for a truck i'd stay on the smaller side of things, like something in the 221 221 range. look at mti, thunder racing, tsp, and some others i can't think of right now. if you have more money, say $1800, absolute (look right---->) has a heads cam set up that would be bad ***. stage 2 5.3l heads, and your choice of cam.

Mine is charcoal with a Comp Sticker in the back glass. I have probably seen yours before I'm up there a lot.

I would also say a cam, thats my next thing on the list.
Started reading this forum the first of this month and have learned alot.
My truck was stock on the 6th of february, now I have an mit intake,
K&N, Dynomax ultraflow welded cat back, 160 therm, Hypertech programmer,
and some free mods.
I have got the fever. Haven't felt like this since the late 1970's when I had my
RT Challenger.

Suthern my family is from Alexandria. I think their all older though. It's the Underwood and Hughes family. Also most definetly get a new cam and/or heads and cam.

1/2 ton pick ups have 4L60E transmissions
3/4 up have 4L80E

Get a programmed PCM (Wester's or Nelsons), makes a huge difference in the power
