you do know that a cam like i said the cheater has shown numbers in the 400s to the wheels and its off idle cam

now im useing this for reference i dont recomend it for his application

99-CHEATR-CAM Thunder Racing Custom "CheaTR" Camshaft - 214/230 .601/.578 117 LSA. Off Idle-6800 RPM Power Band. Broad power range. Works well with stock exhaust manifolds and catalytic converters. Stock like idle. Minor tuning required on automatic transmission cars. Due to the fast ramp rate of this camshaft, the use of 1.8 rockers is not recommended. Double valve springs and titanium retainers required for this cam. $389.99 Buy Wish

Of course. I am just trying to find a decent starting point to work from. I didn't with my LT1 and now I have countless cash tied up in it. Trying to avoid that. Just curious about how much work it takes to get a tank like mine running with stock L's.

How do the rears hold up in these trucks?
How about the transmissions?
What is the TB converter you guys are mentioning?

trail blazer stall, eventually expect to get your trans built, some sooner than later. rears hold up good but you will need a lower ratio 4.10ish or something. it will hold up

I would say...
Custom Tune
4:10's
CAI
E-Fans
Fuddle 3000 stall
Trans-Go Shift kit & Servo's
Pacesetter L/T's (no cats)
"CheaTR" Camshaft - 214/230 .601/.578 117 LSA
Comp 918 springs
ASP Pulley's

That should get you easily a mid-high 13 and still have very good DD manners.....

the cheater cam also requires dual springs and titanium retainers which would bump up the cost...why does that cam require the dual springs? i think it would be cool to get a custom grind along the same general parameters that the "cheaTR" but on a set up that could use comp 918's
