Default 5.3 with LT's and Whipple ,what size Exhaust ?

Just need alittle help so i can get this turd up and running .

The truck is a 00 ECSB 5.3 4/6 drop with a whipple , VHP 045 cam , 918's , 7.40 comp pushrods all installed .

Now for the list of parts sitting in the bed not installed (work to damn much):
Pacesetters LT's
3.73's
Eaton
Yank TT3000

Now that i got the mod list out of the way , heres my question , what size pipe do i need to run from the headers back ? 2.5'' or 3'' ? to make this truck really come alive with the whipple .

Im wanting to go true duals with an Xpipe and some magnaflows from the headers back .

I love the sound of Magnaflows but dont like the raspy sound you get when youve gotn on it hard then let off , i heard an xpipe will clear that raspy sound up does that sound right ?

Let me know what you guys think .

I got a 00 ex cab GMC except it's a 4x4. Same set up with the Whipple and I have TOG mid length headers. I went to full 3" dual exhaust from the headers back. I replaced the cats with full flow 3" cats too. I'm very happy with the setup. Unsupercharged I would have stayed with 2.5 but blown everyone I spoke to recommended 3".

thanks , i knew you guys would come through .

So what does the Xpipe actually do , does it give alittle more backpressure or just even out the exhaust flow ?

I don't run one. My exhaust guy told me that it would make it a little quieter so I chose not to put them in.
