Talking 5.3 To Ls2 7.0 Swap

I WAS LOOKING AT A 05 C6 VETTE THE OTHER DAY AND WAS WONDERING IF IT WOULD BE POSSIBLE TO SWAP ON OF THESE ENGINES INTO MY TRUCK. THE 7.0 427 ISNT OUT YET BUT DO YOU THINK IT WOULD BE POSSIBLE TO DO OR WOULD YOU HAVE TO SWITCH ALL SORTS OF ELECTRONIC BS. LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU GUYS THINK, OR SHOULD I JUST BIUILD THE 408. NEED SUGGESTIONS. LATER GUYS

I Know That A Couple Of Sensors Have Been Relocated, But I Want To Know If I Could Make This Thing Work In My Truck With Just Ls1 Edit.

I have a complete LS2 lift out engine with auto transmission
with less than 20 miles on it from a 2005 GTO if you are interested.

LS2 = 6.0L
LS7 = 7.0L

you would need the computer as well and figure out a way to mount up the dry sump oiling system, but as far as i know, it should bolt in.

If I were you, just do a 408. In the end, doing the LS7 will cost a LOT more. Just to buy the LS7 will probably cost more than having someone else build and install a 408.

I'm willing to bet that they'll do a crate LS7, but it'll be about $15K. Salvage yards will want your first born for them too.

The dry sump issue could prove to be tricky. I say build your own 408+, it'll be cheaper.
