I have had it on for about 5k miles or so with absolutely no problems - it still seals fine. The switch is a nice small rocker switch that I located under my head unit in a plastic panel. It was about the same price as the QTP (He includes shipping in the cost) and from what I have read on multiple forums, including my own experience, they are a very high quality peice

I think that n/a there is too little backpressure to gain tq, but it might gain hp up in the high rpm's - it definetly lacks torque with it open tho. I haven't tried it open with the nitrous yet, but I have a feeling it will gain some hp/tq with it open while spraying.

The main reason I got it was the fun factor - it sounds like a monster and its awesome to press a button and rev it at people

I should mension that I have headers and high flow cats before that cutout, which may or may not affect the performance and sound with it open. Magnaflow 22" muffler is after the cutout.

Yes, I dug this from the grave, but I have to say that this thread lead me in the right direction on e-cutouts for sure.

MODERATORS, I AM ONLY STATING FACTS.....I AM NOT DISRESPECTING ANYONE'S PRODUCTS...just explaining why I chose what product.

Short story:
I ended up buying DMH E-Cutouts instead of QTP or McCord

Long Story:
I got interested allthe sudden in getting a pair of e-cutouts (I am a major impulse buyer). I first was going to get QTP's dual 2.5" e-cutout because everyone has spoken so highly of them in the past and they seemed like a good product and I liked their webpage....so I got online to order a set at about 8:00am in the morning.
I then emailed them later in the afternoon to see why my order was still pending and why my card wasn't charged yet. I know its not a lot of time for a business to answer an email, but I gave them around 4 hours and no reply.
So I called them to ask why my order was still pending.
QTP said they couldn't get them out because the sales manager was out of town until Monday and my order wouldn't be processed until then....so I was like, what, is this a "one-man-show"? Then he changed the story to saying they were backordered because they were so popular. I said, if they're so popular, why don't you guys bump production.....seems like an easy answer, right? After that, he seemed a little confused and then I mentioned I was looking at McCord's as well, and I said that I had heard rumor the guy at McCords used to be at QTP....after this, the salesman seemed very short. I asked him to please cancel the order I had made previously that morning online.....he did so with no problem.

Later, I called McCord....ring, ring, ring......no answer.
I emailed McCord......no answer yet.

I found this thread from a while ago and 03GMC mentioned DMH.
I had never heard of these people, but I thought I'd give it a shot since I really wanted the e-cutouts by this weekend so I could try to finish my exhaust.
I emailed the guy at DMH about 5:00PM yesterday because I couldn't find any phone number on his website (which could be because its still partly under construction). I didn't expect a reply or call, especially from past experiences in the day.
Around 7:30 or 8:00PM that same day, my cell phone rings.....what do ya know, it was the guy from DMH! He got my number from the sig in my email. I was shocked....lol!
He said he's got 2 in stock, so I grabbed them...I was on the phone with this guy for at least 30 minutes....he was super nice, but beware, he'll give you an ear full.....j/j.
He is shipping them out today 2nd Day Air so I should have them Friday!
He even discounted what the ground would have cost from the 2nd Day Air.

Listen to This:
DMH was also telling me how he got picked over the other 2 guys to have his e-cutouts in the SUMMIT catalog. Look for them to be there soon! His customer service was the best, his warranty was the best, and if Summit picks his product over the others.....that should hint something as well. Give him a shout....he will tell you EVERYTHING you need to know or answer any questions you have.
I look forward to receiving mine this Friday.

THANK YOU DMH!

In addition to my reply above....
I will post a follow-up after they are installed.

I will also be able to give hard results with and with out power adder when Allen re-tunes my truck on the dyno when the swap is complete.

thanks for the post......you wont be dissapointed, and I think you made the right decision. During my relatively short research for which cutout to go with, I was reading all sorts of mixed opinions about the other brands.....a few said there have been no problems while others had to rebuild their cutouts multiple times, etc. I then heard about DMH and researched a little on other corvette and camaro boards, and I believe I found NO negative feedback, although there was generally less posts about them than the other brands.

So anyways, Ive had mine for almost a year now and have had no problems whatsoever, have hardly even seen the thing since it was installed.......I just press the loud button
