Default 5.3 into 65 pcikup

Well, this will be carbed, it is a 2002 5.3, th350 with a 3000 converter, i was thinking a 220/224 grind, but i only found one with a 114, i want a 110, but a 112 will work better than the 114.

Should be 3.42 gearing, probably stick with manifolds for now, otherwise, a Vic Jr is what we might go with, but a Performer RPM will probably get the go since it will keep torque up higher down low and mid range.

Any suggestions on the cam specs? The owner wants a lope but still tow a boat and those specs to me should make him happy.

Kind of sounds like my build, a 2002 5.3L carbed in a '50 chevy pickup with 3.42 gears, TH350 and 3000 stall. I used the comp cams 212/218 on 114 lsa cam with TSP pushrods and LS6 yellow springs. Haven't fired it yet.

That 114 will be great for a EFI build, are you going injected or no?
