Hey all how well would a TSP torquer v3 231/234 .643"/.598" 112 LSA work in a 5.3 with headers and a ls6 intake. Keep in mind this engine won't be in a truck. Ill be running it in my 87 RX7 with a T56 and 4.10 gears out back.

 

Thats a BIG cam, you would definetly need aftermarket heads, because the 5.3 heads won't flow at the high of lift and that will hurt you.

 

I do plan on running ported heads down the road, but I would like to be able to run the engine on stock heads for the time being. So a cam with about the same duration and just less lift? Like 228/230 - .571/.573, or 224/230 - .581/.588?

 

You be okay with anything under .600 lift. IMO
