I am putting together a list of the parts required to build a 5.3 bottom end for BOOST. Any input will be welcomed....
Not sure when I am going to start this project, just putting it on paper now.
Looking for blower pistons, Good rods, Good crank, etc, etc....

i have a set of 4.030" ross forged pistons....they wont work in that 5.3 block though 6.0 would work for them bored .030 over though... i would go with lunati pro rods if you want totally bullet proof and a crank you can run anything you want really from stock size to 4.125" strokers just depends on what you want to pay. if you stay with stock stroke i would stay with a stock crank all together, they do offer forged stock stroke cranks but they are pricy.

just dying to get rid of those huh MattBlownchevy, I would really consider buying an LS1 aluminum block(new $600 and 70lbs less weight up front) or an iron block 6.0 litre block to build up. The more cubes the better, and since you have to buy pistons and rods and whatnot you should just fit them all to a better block to work with. That is purely my opinion though. If being the 5.3L horsepower king is your thing...cool stick with the 5.3L block to build.

I am planning on staying with the iron block....stronger in my opinion. I would consider the stroker setup but I do not want the tuning headaches...Arghhh what to do.
5.7 iron block?

blown, i would atleast go with a 6.0 block, it's just like the 5.3 block(iron) but comes from the factory with a 4" bore. that's like 40 cubic inches with just a simple swap, and you'd have to take the motor out anyways to build a new 5.3, so why not go bigger cubes while doing it.
