If you dont mind me asking why are you swaping the motor in an 05 truck? Its brand new. I understand wanting more power but why didnt you just order one or get a used one then?

I hydrolocked my 5.3 liter last week when we had a bad rain come up down a public road so my insurance is buying a new long block for the truck. Since I'm really good friends with the owner of our local dealer I'm getting them to order the LQ9 long block instead of the 5.3 long block. The price is the same so everything should be ok. I'm thinking about going with the Nelson tune and I already have edelbrock headers, corsa catback, aem brute force, e-fans. If anything else has to be changed I'll let y'all know besides that already mentioned.

Isn't that the dragstrip that was on Horsepower TV about a year ago? I thought it looked familiar.
