hey guys i was wondering if a 6.O engine from a 2000+ Escalde woould drop right into a 2000 Z71 5.3 or would there be any difficult mods to mess with

 

DO IT!!!!! very easy project. everything is a direct bolt in. there is a chance you would need some programing to make it run it's best.

 

thankx man a local junkyard has a escalade with 6800 miles on it that got screwed from behind by an 18 wheeler, motor is untouched, is $1000 too much to pay for it

 

yea, you might want to be carfull that you get the right engine, if it is a 6.0 and has aluminum heads that is the one you want. must have aluminum heads!

not sure about those older escalades but in the trucks you would need any 2001 or newer 6.0, the escalades they are making now and at least in 2002 have a little more compresion wich would be prety cool but not 100% nesassary.

if that is a 2001+ that is a great price.
