4l80e Install
#2
I got my trans for 1300 shipped, that was an 03 with 1600 miles on it. In the 1300 was included the stock torque converter, dipstick, tube, and flex-plate. The new converter from Hughes cost me 700. There was probably another 150 bucks in odds and ends for the stuff to get the trans in and running. I also spent about 50 for material to rebuild my crossmember. There was also about 200 worth in programming and electronics in getting the trans hooked up.
I don't think you would find a shop that would want to do the install, it isn't by any means a straight forward install. I wouldn't worry with it unless you plan on putting some big power to the ground though. The 60e will take a some power with a good shiftkit and servos. If you get some better clutches and stuff, it will last even longer, just don't overdo the shift kit and it won't break anything in short order.
