Default 4L80E guys with cam come in

So Im doing a 4l80e swap on my gen4 silverado and I have a high lift cam I want to know at what Rpm you guys shift and Can I go till 6400 in the 4l80 my 4l60 I was going 6200 and still my trans broke .

The 4l80 doesn't care where you shift, yes you can shift at 6400. Spin the motor until you drop a valve, then set the rev limiter a few RPM below that

I have my shiftpoints set at 6750....My 80e is stock other than a shiftkit and ive had no problems at all!

i turn mine to 6200 with the stock cam it feels like a kick in the *** when my p.i locks up boy asked me the other night was that another gear i said no my converter just locked up .

I had a problem with my Pi It wasnet tuned right in my 4l60e . I may not go with an aftermarket converter I will go with a Hummer H1 stock converter 1800 stall

mine acts a lil funny everyonce in a while but i guess i will send it back and get it redone if it keeps on acting up its really loose i can brake stall it to 3800 on bald street tires .

The H1 has a 700r4 right? The stock 80e converter will stall a little over 2k RPM.

I think the H1 has the 80 because they came with the 6.5 diesel

yeah H1 has the 80 but I was told the stock 80E converter stalls less than 1500.

And I have one more question will I loose power by doing the 80E swap? I was told to expect 30rwhp loss
