Does that fit up to the bellhousing for the truck? It doesn't look the same as the 60e.

This tranny looks to have the SBC bellhousing pattern. There is one extra bolt on the b/h that doesn't have a corresponding boss on the back of the block--it's one of the ones to either side of the "top" one. I think it's the one on the driver's side, but don't quote me.

I had a friend of mine make up a cardboard template for me, and tested it against an LS1 T-56 b/h. Everything lined up except for that one bolt! Unless there are some other differences that I'm not aware of, it shouldn't be a problem to use the SBC b/h bolt pattern.

Good news, huh?

Actually I was looking more at the top. The top of the ls1 bellhousings are falt, they don't have a raised center bolt. Instead they have 3 bolts across the top all on the same level.

On second look .. it looks like it will fit up, just 2 bolts on the side at the top won't be used, on the block side.

Yep! This trans came out of a 03 2500HD with a 6.0.
