Ah No not for a long time but it will Depending what your power levels are
is the truck 4wd or 2 wd
Witha built tranny it would hold for a while
Until you decided to spray the thing
I would say talk to FlP about a tranny for it Depending on weight I think it would live for a while Depending on how heavy your foot is
The 4l80E swap isn't cheap and the 1st gear in it sucks ***

it would be for a 2wd. I have a ls6 block in my shop and I have a 6.0L block as well. I am trying to decide to send the block to MTI to convert it to a 427 or just build a 408 or 402 with my 6.0l block. Since no one has tried the 427 route I might do this to have something different. what do you think about this idea.

A guy on ZR2.com has a 427/C5R in his ext. cab ZR2...he also put a FS front diff in, functioning Corvette seats, along w/ a lift and 33s. He burnt up a bunch of 4L60s, even in a "lighter" S-10, so he ended up using a 4L80. Pretty cool truck, I guess it helps when you're a GM engineer.
