I wanted something that was decent for street/towing use and will work well with a turbo. This cam has 11* of overlap, and power range is supposed to be something like 2300-6100 or so.

Is the ssr intake gonna flow much better then the truck intake? Does it clear all accessories? What TB is that? still cable driven? Im very curious on the ssr intake manifold over an ls6 if i dont have to clear all the accessorys.

I was wondering because the cam I've choosen is considerably bigger. I have been thinking that it may be to much for what I'm wanting after running it through several CR and DCR calcs. Although ... it should spin up to about 6800 or so easy with a good set of heads.

ssr is a 90mm opening. suppose to flow better then the typical ls2 one and alot better then the stock 78mm intake

I need to run my setup through a DCR calc, but according to Diamond's calc I am at 9.41 SCR. I should probable get a little thicker head gasket (running a .04 now, probably will swap to factory .054 when I go turbo), that will get me down to 9.17. I had no desire to spin my motor up that fast, so that may be part of the difference. What are the duration specs on yours?

I actually haven't seen any flow numbers on the SSR manifold. I chose it because it's a truck manifold with a 90mm TB opening. That's a UMI 90mm TB, cable operated. Since the SSR mani only came on ETC trucks I'm going to have to fab up some sort of mounting bracket for the throttle cables. Didn't think about that till I put the manifold in and laid the cables over top and went "uh oh...." It looks like it will clear all the accessories, but I haven't fit the water pump yet. I just assumed it would work, I'll have to check it out tonight. Good thinking.
