The powerband I am looking for would be from 3,400 to 6,200, ideally. The more I think about it the more 230/230 sounds small. Maybe something closer to 240/240, but keeping the lift under 600. My heads do not have a huge runner volume and the flow levels off after 600, although the midrange numbers are excellent. The porter did this to keep velocity up and low to midrange torque up.
On nitrous, most people will call you stupid if you don't run a bigger bump on the exhaust side. If I was looking for all out power on the juice it would have a bigger exhaust. But I am not really looking for the extra 10rwhp on juice, I am looking for the extra 5rwhp on the motor. It will be a dry shot.
This will be a daily driver and not a track queen. I don't not want high peak numbers. I want the torque curve of a diesel. 440ish rwhp and 450ish rwtq would make me plenty happy.

I still say keep the cam rather mild .. and the lift relatively low. That will keep you from having to worry about breaking springs and a minimal tuning issues with drivability. I don't think you will have to worry about filling the manifold up at that level just yet. It sounds like you are just wanting something very drivable and fun to drive. You just want to juice it for the hell of it.

You might call Comp Cams and see what they suggest. They know what they're talking about a whole lot more than we do. They will take your mod list and give you a better recomendation.

flyer, springs are not going to be an issue if you have THE RIGHT SPRINGS....now if you're running an LS6 spring with a TREX cam, yeah you're gonna break springs, but if you're running LS6 springs with a 210/210 .520 cam then no, you're not going to break springs.

Won't the T-Rex require some extra legwork to get it installed?

IE: The cam is made to take advantage of the tolerances in a stock 5.7. "Who knows" what the tolerances are like in a 10.2:1 408.
