Default Is 400rwhp achievable with this LS1 383 stroker set-up?

I was thinking I could get at least 400rwhp with this set-up, what do ya'll think?

-98' LS1 Shortblock (Honed/Crosshatched)
-4.000" Eagle Crank
-Absolute Speed Stage 2 5.3 Heads
-FMS Custom Cam (230/232-.595/.585-113)
-LS6 Intake
-FMS Dyno-tune
-8.1 Injectors
-K&N FIPK
-ASP Crank Pulley
-Electric Fans
-LaPole Mid-length Headers
-FMS Ported TB
-160* Thermostat
-True Dual 2 1/2" Exhaust (dynomax bullets) w/ x-pipe

I'll also be pretty much replacing everything in the shortblock like bearings, timing chain, etc.

400 should be easy, especially with Allan tuning it with one of his cams.

Yeah, 400 sounds about right.

Why don't you get Allan to port your heads for you? He seems to be doing alot of the rest of your setup.

btw. That camshaft: (230/232-.595/.585-113)
Have you discussed it with him? I'm wondering if he uses different lobe ramps on the exhaust and intake.

I would say 450rwhp pretty easily, with matching torque.

You should be able to hit over 400 rwhp with ease with that setup, since 400 rwhp from heads/cam 346 ci is pretty much average these day.
Why not use a 6.0 block and build a 402 or 408?
Also, I have heard some sponsors say that they don't like the eagle cranks. It's not that they are weak, just poorly balanced. I haven't used one myself, that's just what I was told is all.

I've already got the LS1 shortblock, I like the sound of the 6.0. I got the LS1 shortblock for a killer deal, also it's a lot lighter.

Plus, I think the 383 would make good under-the-curve power considering the set-up I'll be going with. I'm really excited about it.

I've heard mixed reviews about the Eagle cranks, mostly good. It'll just be probably N/A, it won't have any forced induction on it and I probably won't spray it. IF I do, it'll be like a 100 wet shot. That's really why I chose the Eagle crank.

Thanks for your input!

The combo sounds good but I would change you choice in headers. Step up to something with a 1 3/4" primary true longtube like the ASMs rather than the 1 5/8 primary midlengths of the LaPoles. You are going to be pumping a lot of air thru that setup so it needs to be able to get out.

My Lapoles have the 1 3/4" primaries. Trust me, I talked wean Dean about it before I ordered them, I wouldn't have ordered them had they been 1 5/8".
