Sorry to dig this up. I really love this... its not cheap though. My biggest fear is a cut out that leaks... for that reason alone I can see myself just getting one that I need to climb under the truck to unscrew...

If my local welder doesn't have the time, I'm brining my exhaust over to you for welding and install

See that I wouldnt have assumed... I mean I can see once the gaskets wear out, but I would think with a new gasket it wouldnt leak at all.

You don't want a manual cutout. Nothing worse than having to crawl under to uncap it and then having it open when you don't want it while driving.

I really like the boost activated cutout, but at the same time, at least theoretically, I'd prefer the electric.

I was ready to buy a new one, but found this one used. I got a good deal on it or I wouldn't have been able to cut it apart like I did. The guy that had it before had leaks with where it seals when the blade is closed. He goobered it up with sealant and it looked horrible. I sand blasted the sealant off, and the reason it was leaking was because the shaft had excessive play in it. The V band clamps seal perfectly. When I take it off very soon, I will fix the hole the shaft rides in, install a new shaft, install a new blade, and I might put an oring type seal on the blade so that it seals 100%. As for no videos, I am just too lazy lately. lol

I'd really only want it for the track... Otherwise I want it quiet as possible. Try to find a free flowing 'quiet' exhaust that wont choke me while making 550+ to the wheels... I don't think it really exists, so I guess quiet is all relative. Not to mention that an electric or boost activated cut out can be added down the road... they all seem to bolt up the came way.

People have made huge power though full 3" exhaust. Don't believe every single thing you read online. Nowadays if you don't have a full 5" exhaust you're screwed. My full 4" exhaust on paper is mouse quiet; in reality it's not. It's still loud but I don't want to restrict my turbo in any way. Problem is, even with 4" diameter, the full length is probably over 10 feet and that in itself it restriction.

I was just stating, you don't want to deal with a manual cutout. Electric is the way to go.
