The LS3 heads are going to perform better in the high RPMs where your current heads will perform better down low. If it's torque you want, I'd stick with the cathedral port.

Then dont go with a LS3/L92 head setup.........If my 6.2 didnt come with square ports i would go cathedral ALL DAY LONG.... if it was a car different story.

Well I've been thinking and thinking options 2 and 3 instead of 1. I can do both of them for the price I'll have into just option 1

coming from someone who should have learned to tune a LONG time ago, get the tuner while you're close to stock and grow your abilities as your truck grows. I didn't get HPtuners until I was into a heads/cam/nitrous big cam 408 stroker with a ported aftermarket intake, aftermarket throttle body, etc etc etc....not the best time to start learning LOL. luckily Wheatley helped me stumble my way through it (he basically did it LOL). I still cant do it 100% on my own which is why I've learned to love a carburetor.

I'm thinking the same thing. Would definitely be a lot easier to do now than with what you said haha. Seems like SDPC has the best price for HPtuners pro and the aem wideband, would like to stick to a forum sponsor
