Just curious, it seems like just about all of the trucks out there have some kind of stall. Mostly because they are 5.3's and I guess they didn't offer manual trannys with that motor. How many of you guys have a 4.8 motor with a manual transmission?

 

I got a 2000 4.8 5spd 4x4

 

Mine's got the 4800 with a 5spd. 2wd/ g-80 locker

 

My girlfriend has a 2000 RCSB stepside 2wd 4.8L v8 w/ 5 speed manual tranny.

 

2002 4.8l 5spd 2wd

 

I had a 4.8 / 5 speed. I don't think they offered a 5.3 with the manual, I tried several times to order one and had several dealers say they didn't make that combination.

 

99's had 5.3/5spd

 

Yes had same problem. Also I wanted a Sierra originally and in 2001 GMC didn't offer a manual trans on either V8 in the 1500.

 

Is that true?!!! That must be a rare and fast combination!!!

 

They didn't offer anything like that around here,(Arkansas) and I tried several times in 99 to order a 5.3 with a stick. Not saying you are misinformed but it would be nice to see a copy of a window sticker.
