im looking to swap a 4.8L into my blazer next year sometime and i was wondeirng what kinda whp can i get outta stock bottom end 4.8L- i might put a cam, ls6 heads, and new pistons and rods in it- with pistons/rods what kinda whp can a 4.8L handle- im just trying to weigh my options here.

 

I'm putting about 400 hp to the ground right now with 7 lbs and a Z06 cam. I think there a pretty good turbo motor.

 

I do know that there is a turbo 4.8l in the 11s but he is built.

 

I put down 445rwhp with a cam and headers and a Magnacharger on a stock bottom end.

 

 

I'd say yes.
