Default 4.8L to 6.0L

hey, i have a 2003 rcsb GMC Sierra 1500, and i want to swap to a 6.0, now im basically dumb when it comes to this, so what do i need to do to get the truck ready for the swap and what will i need to do for it all to work? also which is better the lq4 or the lq9?

All I bought when I did my swap was a long block, transmission, headers, anti-freeze, oil and filter, belt, starter, spark plugs, new pulleys and tensioner, and oh yea beer.

It probably depends on how you drive it, but chances are you will have problems down the road, there's just no telling how far down the road.
