4.8 Tranny compatiblity

Will the 4.8 bolt to all the truck and fbody 4L60Es? I have heard some of the trannys won't bolt to the truck block.
Also Edelbrock is coming out with a new carb intake for the LS1 family, will a 700R4 bolt to the 4.8, and does anyone know if the tailshaft off the 700R4 will swap onto a 4L60E?

700R4 is a non electric version of the 4L60E. I am not certain it will bolt up but I am about 98% sure it will.
Why do you want a 700 tailshaft on your 4L60E?

exactly, that's what i was thinking....if you're converting the car to an LS1 based setup just find a tranny out of a camaro/firebird, BUT if you already have a tranny out of a truck then you'll have to make some changes.
