A custom tune will do a lot for you... even if you have little or no mods. A cut out will do wonders.. it'll free up your exhaust and unlock a few horses to the wheels. It'll sound like open headers, bc basically thats what a cut out is.

A tune can probably help anywhere from .2-.5 tenths on your et. Delete torque management, set the rev limiter higher, have it tuned to be geared for the track... do you have any mod plans or do u have any mods?

Just like SSLOW said a custom tune will for sure knock of that time plus maybe a lil bit more. If you do the cut out a set of headers a t.c you would see a sec drop.

Nest I could muster with my poor 4.8 was 9.9 in the 1/8th. I had intake/tune/exhaust. Im thinking the stall would drop another .4 sec or so with traction.

what would i need to put in an ls1 or like ive been reading a 6.0 escalade motor into it?this thing is definately not what i expected it to be...way too slow!i expected at least high 9s in the 1/8th stock...i just dont see the point in putting full bolt ons not including headers or cam,and it not be at least into the mid 8's.

I've heard of stock 4.8 5-speeds w/lockers and 3.73's pullin high 9's. I on the other hand have no locker and 3.42's...traction is not my friend

a cutout will help some and hinder others due to the mods and tunes. a good tune is worth a lot more than just .2 to .5 off times.and a stall is a great mod for at least .5 off with traction and a 3000 stall. but prepare to do some tranny mods first.
