i went ot hallsville texas earlier to run my truck. i was expecting to be somewhere in the 15.8-16.1 range but i never broke into the 15's. my best time was a 16.011 with an 88.4 mph trap speed. The humidity was at 85% and the temp at around 77, so i wasnt really expecting to do all that great. In different weather conditions i should have no problem hitting a 15.8 or 15.9 since every car there was getting slow times. I went with a friend whos got an 02 lightning thats modded and had run a 12.8 at the same track a few months ago, but 13.4 was the best he could do all night, most of his runs were in the high 13's and he even hit 14's a couple of times. there was also an 02+ z06 there that couldnt do any better that 13.7, and even hit a 14 one time. There were also 2 ls1 transams that couldnt do any better than 13.8 and were in the 14's half the time. id like to go again when its not so humid to see just how big of a difference it would make. the best 60 ft i got was a 2.408, and the only mod i have is some crappy ravin exhaust that was on it when i bought it.

Not bad at all for the conditions...
Poors cars and trucks
you all were beating the hell outta them in that sweltering heat, lol jk, they can take it. I'm predicting 15.6-15.8 in better conditions... what mods are next in the near future for you?

Nice, i ran a 15.5 @ 90mph with my 4.8L with only a hpp3 to change shiftpoints and a slowmaster, and i was on 20s with one wheel peel. The absolute best mod i ever did to my 4.8 was ripping it out and putting the 6.0 in.

the reason you didn't get into the 15s was because of your poor 60'.. I'm gonna guess it was in the 2.6 or worse?
Your MPH is good enough to get into the 15s for sure. my very first time out with this 02' RCSB 4.8L I ran a 15.5@89mph spinning the tires with a 2.5 60'.. Next time out I ran 15.29@90.5mph on a 2.3 60'.
Your MPH is normal, your ET is low for the truck unless you have a ton of crap on it.

nah, i was getting low 2.4's on the 60', i got a pretty good feel for launching it i thought. next time around i could probably get 2.3's now that ive had time to think about how to do it better. Also, i had it in tow/haul mode while shifting myself the majority of the time, a couple of times i shifted a little too late going from 1st-2nd and bounced the rev limiter.
heres what my best time looked like:
60' - 2.482
1/8 - 10.421 68.82 mph
1/4 - 16.011 88.80 mph
i think landing the 1-2 shift perfectly is what got me that time, because i also did a 2.409 and a 2.411 60', but never got a better time. having a tune to change the shift points would be nice, manualy shifting it is kinda tricky,
