Default 4.8 questions

for ***** and giggles i though of throwing my truck back together for pure beating snout out of it. if i can get my hands on a 4.8 i was thinking of using all my remaining parts....i was thinking tossing in a Trex in it, using a ls2 intake to use my 90mmtb with it, along with my 3" duals. remember im t56 with 4.88 gears

im not expecting a 11s truck but im wondering if how far i can push a 4.8. i know all my supporint mods are overkill but just wondering

what are some ppls thoughts on this? how fast do you think i can push a 4.8? remember a Trex you shift around 7200, i have gearing and being a stick i can launch at any rpm

dont wory my lunati 408 will still get twins but this will allow me to be on the road

if you could get your hands on a 6.0 block and put 4.8 internals in it would be fun also, ever thought of that? a destrocked 6.0 would redline about 10,000 rpms

Put a real big shot of n20 on the mother like 300 or higher!!! That would be fun for the few times it would last. Of course get your beating in first and then get the video cam and run the hell out of it!!! I think it sounds like a great idea if you have a 4.8 laying around.

You would need some compression for that cam to even run decent...

Not a bad idea. Why not get your hands on a junkyard 4.8; 5.3;, or even a 6.0? Just something to bang around in, and get to at least drive it!

Why not? do it. You will need to get the compression up with that cam for sure. Or just count on it not running well unless you spray itl. That would be a bear to be a DD in a 4.8 but would be fun to play with.
