Default 4.8 mods for max HP

(Happy Easter as im writing this). My first truck was a 2004 4.8 2WD single cab silverado and even though Im still only 19 now I have 2 other street trucks which makes me end up leaving my 4.8 to rot until im home on weekends to drive it around houston. I dont wanna sell it yet cuz its a reliable and useful truck so im gonna make it a project street truck since summer is comin up.

That being said I wanna squeeze the most power out of it to drive it on the street with my boys who got stangs. So what are the list of mods yall would do to it before boosting it? I consider myself well versed on these things but ik there are people much smarter than me on here.

(Only things done to it performance wise are K&N intake, Flowmaster exhuast system, and e-fans with a tune. Also have headers on the way) Im also NOT doing an engine swap yet. Ive already done 2 engine swaps to 6.0 and I jus wanna gain as much hp out of my first truck keeping it as close to my first truck as possible if that makes sense. After i max this little block out and it dies then thats when ill swap it.

You could go the bigger camshaft route with a high stall converter, spin it to 7,000rpm and let it eat but it might not drive the best around town.

Being 2WD, I highly suggest doing gears. Swapping to 4.10's or 4.56's will really help that truck move out. Then add some power with a camshaft and maybe a stall torque converter.

Yeah i was lookin at some cams but not sure what to get quite yet but i also got a Circle D 3200 converter sittin in my cart. As for the gears i was plannin on 4.10 but gears are the one thing ive never messed with so got any tips on installing them? Or should i just let a shop do it and at that how much should it cost? Thanks

Huron Speed has some nice turbo setups that can make a little more power for you.
I like the smallerish cam 4.8/5.3s with the right size turbo that are fun to drive and still get good mileage.
If you have E85 around you then 800rwhp is nothing but a few pounds of boost away.
