Mild DD 4.8 buildup

Mild DD 4.8 buildup
What would be the best way to 300whp? I have a 2001 RCSB with a 4.8 and a 4L60. I thought about a 6.0 swap but I've never done one and this truck is pretty clean and reliable with 140k maybe when I get a second vehicle I'll put a 6.0 in but for now I'd like to just play with the 4.8. I've also got a lifter tick issue so I thought I'd swap a cam in and maybe some other mods while I have the heads off. I was guessing a cam headers intake and tune maybe some other small things would hopefully get me to at least 300 whp that's all I'm looking for. I was also thinking of swapping to a 4.10 instead of the 3.42 that's in there now.
I've done a search but can't really find much for someone just wanting 300whp out of a 4.8 I usually see people wanting max effort 4.8 builds.
Edit
I also was thinking of keeping the 4.8 in it since I'd like to boost it in a few years when I'm settled financially.

There are lots of camshaft choices out there, so it's a toss up on exactly what to run.
Figure something in the 22X/22X range with a mild LSA. A nice converter around 2800-3000 stall. Mill the cylinder heads to bump compression a tad and gain some horsepower.
For sure go to 4.10's, it'll help that 4.8 a lot.
There was a thread recently I think were a guy posted his mods and he got around 300whp from his truck. It was another 4.8 thread.

Ive been looking around at different threads and have barely found any doing what im trying to do. I did see a recent one where someone asked if the LQ9 was worth it. They said the had a cam and something else dyno at 310 but didnt give too much info other than that. Ive been thinking of using my dads HP tuner and just looking around on it and trying to learn about tuning but i wont be changing anything myself lol.
How exactly do you activate E-fans if you do it yourself through HP tuner?

I was looking at the BTR stage 2 turbo cam, its nothing crazy 218/223 .598/.595 112+3 which is pushing a stock converter. im slowly working with this 4.8 and just want to make 500whp, im thinking that cam with would put me around 350. 2800 stall with maybe 4.10's it will be a really fun truck.

Yeah I'd like to keep the 4.8 in it and maybe about two years down the road when Im done saving for a house and blah blah ill grab a beater for work and then start working towards boosting it.
