Default 4.8 ls1 intake swap questions

attn almighty performance guru's!!:
ok i need to get a ls1 intake on my truck..what is it gonna take.. its an 03 silverado, which has dbw ( drive by wire ). what will i need, how hard of a swap is it to do?

ya well ive used the search option and ive come up with 2 things.. either its a pain in the ***, or i just need a special tensioner relocator.. problem is i cant tell what mine is gonna be, so again i ask can some one point me in the right direction

I would leave the truck intake on. The reason being, you will make more power under the curve. Sure with the car intake you might pickup a few horsepower at peak, but your numbers below 5000 rpm's will probably suffer a loss. But, if you must do it, you will need the bracket for the idler pulley and modify the waterpump neck so the TB will clear since the car intake sits 3" lower.

ok just figured out one more question.. will i need the ls1 fuel rails? and if so do i need the injectors for it or will mine work.. i know i can get away with useing my own, which makes me think i can use my injectors, but i just want to make sure, i only get one shot at getting this to work right so i dont want any surprises.. thanks for all the help guys

i already read that twice, but right in that post someone says their stock injectors fit right in the ls1 manifold..i have an 03 silverado, with the ls1 manifold..i was hopeing someone had done it already so i would know for sure that my injectors will work or not... that article is helpfull cept for the speartech idle pully relocator and a small modification to the water pump is all that seems needed now instead of all the work he did. i think ill just talk to the guys at speartech since no one here seems to be able to actually give some advice, cept for rhino79..thanks!
