4.8 heads on a 5.3?

4.8 heads on a 5.3?
Ok I have heard all of my older friends talking about taking a 350 and putting 305 heads on it a it makes a lot of diffrence. I guess maby because of a smaller combustion chamber? What about a set of 4.8s on a 5.3? Good idea or bad?
