224 in a 6.0 is too small. The extra cubes will eat it up. Go bigger, you wont regret it!

WELL I DON'T THINK THAT WOULD BE TO SMALL I AM RUNNING 216/220 AND IT IS RUNNING REAL GOOD .I WOULD GET A 6.0 IT IS SNOT HARD TO CHANGE THE CAM LATER.GET THE PLANT THEN GROW THE PLANT,I WISH I WOULD HAVE DONE IT A YEAR AGO.
YES THE 5 SPEED WILL BOLT UP AND WOULD BE AWESOME BUT I WOULD GET THE REAR END GIRDLE TO HELP SAVE THE GEARS.

well i got 'laid off' from my 2nd job so now i lost $700+/month that would of gone to my truck so everything is on hold...probably go back to college in January instead of trying to find another job. but i do got about $800 to spend on my truck...and that won't increase any in a LONG time...so $800...what do i do? find a 6.0 shortblock and swap it? and port my heads? or just get a big cam/springs and headers?

Save the $800 for school expenses and do the truck after you graduate and start making better $$$$. Dream big and be willing to do what it takes to get there.
