Default 4.8 to 5.7 question

im makin my 4.8 a 5.7 and wanna use stock 5.7 heads and cam, what all will i need to switch? and yes i know the pistons rods and crank gotta be swapped. just askin bout injectors and stuff like that

depends on which intake you want to use as far as what injectors and fuel rails to use!!

im thinkin the stock 4.8 intake will be aight but not exactly sure, someone here told me that the 4.8 intakes flow better than the ls1's

the 4.8's do flow better unless you port out the ls1 but if your going to go to do that i would just do ls6 intake.....if your goin with 4.8 intake use 4.8 fuel rails and injectors.....if your goin ls1 use ls1 fuel rails and injectors (ls1 injectors are longer than 4.8's).....but its not worth it IMO.....stick with the 4.8 or go ls6.......

but in all sense, give it some more gas. 2001 LS1 injectors are 28.6#, your 4.8 injectors are only 24#!!!!! Also i dont think the 4.8 intake would flow better at all. It does build more torque because of the longer intake runners but doesnt have the topend power like the ls1 intake does with the smaller or short runners
