Default 4.3 Performance

i know theres a bunch of guides fer like cams and heads and rules of thumb when it comes to boost and nitrous on the 4.8 and 5.3 but does anyone have any links to good 4.3 information say like outta a 98 s10 SS or a link to a more v6 based forum?

lookin for performance ideas for a friend, and **** that u can still smog in cali..so v8 swap is outta the question..also ho tuner friendly are they with say like an HPT

also ive heard alot of ppl saying with a good tune they can take a 150 wet shot of nitrous..thats as much as a V8.. so im not to sure on how true that is..ive always gone by the rule of no more than 20HP per Cyl on stock internals with a good tune

Weight reduction. Do some shopping on summit racing.

Im ordering a cam for my truck tomorrow.

After I put it in, ill tune it and hook the nitrous kit up.

id imagine with some internal work they are pretty beefy lil engines ..being that they are 5.7L based engines.. and even before that.. i bet a intake/full exhaust/gears/tune would wake one up alot..

i had mine full bolt on in an 89 s-10. hooker LT headers, chip, billet underdrive pullies, air intake, full dual exhaust. sounded decent, and was pretty strong!!

i think my best 1/8th mile run was a 9.52 at around 70 mph. i had 3.08 gears though, with the 700r4 tranny.

a buddy of mine is picking up a 98 S10 SS with the 4.3HO ,as of right now hes planning on intake, full exhaust, tune , 3.73s or 4.11s with a locker, and a 100 Wet shot..

so thats why im curious about these egines.. its supposed to run 15.9 with a damn good driver stock..he wanted an idea of what itll run with all those mods i told him i didnt know, anyone have an idea?
