Default 4.3 needs POWER!!

alright first off, WHERE CAN I GET PERFORMANCE PARTS FOR MY 4.3??? also anyone know of a 4.3 stroker kit? i cant find one just wondering what they might cost. and a big thing is where can i get a cam at? i see they have them at jegs for a 262 to 350 but iv heard theres a 262 v8 chevy engine as well as the 262 v6. so do they mean the v6 or v8? i dont really want to do the v8 swap either, im wanting to build like a 400hp v6 with like a 100 shot of nitrous or something, just curious where i can get some stuff at and definatly would like a stroker kit. this may be hard to understand but thanks guys for the help

edit- i just got done looking at gmperformance parts and is it a 60 degree or 90 degree v6, are they both still made or is one older and one newer? iv been trying to read up on them aint getting to far. and again thanks for all the help

it would be cheaper to do a 4.8,5.3,6.0 swap then try to get 400hp out of the 4.3. otherwise your going to need a sh*t load of spray or fi

I agree with black4.8, for the money you're gonna to spend to go FI or NOS, it would be much better to get a bigger motor so that you can have room to modify it later on.

You can get stroker cranks for 4.3L V6's. I have one myself it is a 3.75". The problem is that when 4.3's where used for performace applications like busch series and ASA they used oddfire cranks which are stronger and enabled them to use standard SBC rods. The only stroker even fire stroker crank you can get will be a billet one which is big bucks. Mine was $2000+.

My motor is also using a bowtie block which has a bore of 4.155 with 3.75 stroke which will be 305" or 5.0L V6. Brodix makes heads as well you can get bowtie 23degree and 18 degree heads but you will have other big expenses to get those heads to work. The brodix will work with standard parts.

We build alot of 4.3's for Syclone's and Typhoons. We have built NA 4.3's that use vortecs heads you could get 350hp out of one with lots of head work, more compression and a large cam. The easiest would be to put a blower on the truck or a rear mount turbo. Other wise do a V8 swap.

Whatever you decide you can use a marine intake like this one to use larger injectocrs rather than the 19 lb/hr injectors that come stock.

Its the V6 version of mt V8 marine intake.

No injection crap on the inside of the marine intake UNLIKE the stock CSFI Vortecs V6/8.

peace

Check out machperformance.com, they have some 4.3L parts. I used to have a 98 Sonoma, with the 4.3L with all the bolt ons, and was looking at a turbo from Mach.
