alright guys I just got a new dd, 02 chevy shortbed. Not looking for anything serious just a little more performance. And I need to retain my mileage? Will a cold air and power programmer make a difference?

did you leave the cats on?

 

well, i had to redo my exhaust cause my truck sits so low. i moved my cross over pipe in front of my trans and removed the driver side cat and then left the passenger side cat. sounds ok but kinda high pitched at times

 

Swap in a 5.3, it will save you more gas!! I swaped a 5.3 and I got more gas milage when it was stock than the 4.3. Go with the modds mentioned above, they work pretty good.
