4.3 knock sensor unpluged?

Anyone know what will happen if i unplug the knock sensor on a 98 4.3l v-6? I posted in the small and midsized section...but got response.

It will run with retarded timing and throw a ses light.
= very slow

ok..thats kinda what i thought. now, anyone know if the knock sensor can be tuned out?

You don't want to tune it out if you're driving on the street...but they CAN be desensitized using either tuning software (not sure about '98 4.3 software...do a search) or mechanically using resistors
