I was surfing the forum when I found this post , and thought of your thread. If you don't match the flywheel to the appropriate crank, and maybe match the crank/flywheel with an appropriate dampener, you may run into issues balancing the rotating assembly that can cause drivetrain vibration if not done properly.

Thanks for the info. I have been told that this is a internally balanced engine, so I'm taking my flywheel to a speed shop and making sure it has a neutral balance. Right now I believe it has counterweight in it.

I believe they do, I know a lot of guys back home who have the 6.0 and 8.1 with manual trans. not sure if there is one here or not.
