You can't just expect response in only 2 hours. The solinoid goes on top of the intake manifold. leave the green cap on it is supposed to be there. Not sure wich year your doing but there all similar. the blue wire is a spare and does not need to be pluged in. the red is also loose on mine. 2000, 5.3 bone stock. If your patient I will take pictures for you and up load them here

Here is what it should look like. The purge solinoind sits on top of the manifold as shown. The plastic line runs to the back of the block and connects to another hose that connects to the vapor canister.

As far as the wires shown, It's to much work to get the braket off the fender to fully remove the fuse box cover but here is the wires pulled through the bottom of the cover. There just tucked up underneath there in the wireing.

Need a better picture of the Ground wireing you are suspecting. Wire colors and Year the harness came from would help. But if there ground wires most likely the go to the back of the block...

Check all your grounds!! Make your you have the coil packs plugged in and make sure the plug wires are clicked on GOOD to the plugs and the packs.

Did you get the pcm swapped out as well or tune over the V6?!

Congrats man!! Goodluck
