4.10s + diablo= Speedo still frickin off

Yeah the Predator is quite a POS.
It absolutely does NOT correct for gear changes no matter what they say.
I just changed the tire size too and I think I had it pretty accurate. Since you have to input it like this 235/75/16 it made it much more fking difficult to get the right size. It would have been alot easier if the tire size were entered 29.5".
Anyway I figured that the PCM and the Predator thought that I still had 3.42 gears so I entered some small *** tire size so that it would have a corrected gear ratio. ie 4.10s and whatever I entered is the same as 3.42s and 235/75/16's. In the end I figure I was within 1 mph. I didn't enter any of the junk on that table they have (I made my own table of tire heights) because It looked like BS.
Then I fried my computer with the POS. I know its my fault but with all the choices and $hit that you can screw around with, they REALLY need a better manual.
I have my truck back but now the friggin speedo is whack and it shifts like a granny car again. I REALLY would like a Nelson's tune but I just don't know if I can afford it or the risk since my truck is under a long *** warranty.
Finally, for as "old" and "outdated" as Hypertech is, they are a well established company, they've won SEMA awards, and they've been around since 1994. I hear they actually help you too if you have problems unlike DiabloSport. Anyway, the hypertech corrects for gear/tire changes, firms up the shifts (probably damn decent with the hypertech and a shift kit), lets you go faster mph, lets you rev higher, and thats about all you need.
I doubt you can really squeeze much power out of any handheld tuner anyway
so what does it matter being able to adjust the other things? Besides the predator only lets you change things 5%!!! Thats like not even a degree of timing or a full point of Air/fuel ratio. Doesn't the predator still leave TQ management too or maybe it gets rid of a little bit?

I have the same problem. Mine is 5mph off. My bigger problem is I can't un-install anything. I took the truck "back to stock" after I purchased edit. After I had a small problem with Edit, I went to re-install the Predator tunning while I waited for the Edit problem to be solved. Well, when I plugged it in, I found all the settings were as the way I left them, nothing stock.

i am having the same problem with my pred. can't get the tire size right to make the speedo correct. i figure, i am 5mph off from a true 50 mph and 10 mph off when i get to about 60. predator does leave tq management in except for the 3-4 shift i think it is, then it takes a little out. overall, i guess i have been somewhat pleased with mine but for the money i spent, i would have been happier with edit.

I would love to have my hpp3 back, my truck was stronger with it, should have never gotten the predaturd. Besides someone should be flogged for making 'em were you can't resell 'em.
