Default 3ft more pipe = huge differnce!

The old setup was lt's/ory to a corsa sport muffler with a 3 inch turndown before the axle. It was loud and and sounded awesome.
So after a year of the "look at me" setup I decided to tone it down. After much debate of putting cats back on I decided to first try extending the pipe to the back tire (only about 3 ft of pipe) and dump it off. Simple solution right? So this morning I went to my exhaust guy and got 2 1/2" pipe ran to behind tire and turned down. I know....small pipe. But let me tell you, it sounds perfect.....It's really quiet...almost silent at idle. Except for a hint of that Corsa crackle. Anyhow, I knew it might help a bit, but had no clue it would completely change everything! The truck drives smoother, no more vibrating the cab. I'm satisfied.
I'm excited to be able to make phone calls in the truck again!

Give it a week or two and it will get louder again. Trust me

I don't doubt it....I don't mind it a hair louder but want to enjoy the quiet for a while....It still roars at WOT! I have a feeling I'm going to be romping on it a lot just to remind myself it can still run, despite the lack of sound.

Haha mine was silent on the highway when I first added the tailpipe, but as the carbon built up in the pipe it started to get a little bit louder. It's still pretty quiet but definitely changed after I got some miles on it.

When I was getting mine done I needed the 4ft of pipe I had to be bent. So in the meantime i ran LT, ORY and the XR1 muffler. after about a week I finally had time to get the midpipe bent and installed and I was like.. WOAH!! I could barely hear the truck. Slightly disappointed. But now it's loud again.
